Coast / Beaches

There are endless activities on offer for those who can drag themselves from the trulli. Here you are a short 30 minute drive from the beautiful beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts of Puglia, where beachcombing and watersports are all on offer. Best on the Adriatic coast are Savelletri (boat hire), Guaceto (nature reserve), the little gem Capitolo and Punta Penna Grossa. The Ionian Sea is a little further away from the villa, about 45 minutes drive but well worth a visit. There are miles of beaches, small seaside towns and Lido. The biggest resort is Otranto on the east coast, a grand fortified town important in Roman times but now dedicated solely to seaside fun. Down the coast from Otranto is Santa Cesarea Terme, a spa since Roman times. South again are marvellous rocky caves and grottoes : Romanelli, Zinzulusa and Rotundella. The sea is clear azure and the area is famous for deep-sea diving.

Surfing and Kitesurfing

The Pugliese coastline has long stretches of golden sandy beaches, dunes and wonderfully inviting seas. There are a number of good beaches to visit during your stay, all within easy reach.
